University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City holds a signing ceremony of cooperation with agencies and businesses in 2023

On the afternoon of June 29, 2023, at Vinh Long Campus, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) held the signing ceremony of cooperation between UEH and Agencies and Enterprises in 2023.

Overview of the signing ceremony

Attending the Signing Ceremony, on UEH’s side, there was the presence of Dr. Dinh Cong Khai – Vice President of UEH; MSc. Nguyen Thi Thy Lieu – Standing Deputy Director of UEH Vinh Long Campus; MSc. Nguyen Duc Vinh – Vice President of UEH Vinh Long Campus and lecturers, Leaders of the Departments, Schools, officials, and student representatives. UEH was pleased to welcome representatives and leaders of units attending the cooperation signing ceremony and accompanying the school in the training process, including the following units:

At the signing ceremony, Dr. Dinh Cong Khai expressed his joy and excitement about UEH’s cooperation with units and businesses. Dr. Dinh Cong Khai shared: “In the past time, aimed to train high-quality human resources, contributing to the strategy of human resource development for the whole country in general and for each region in particular, including The Mekong Delta, with the aim of improving the quality of training, associated with practice, and at the same time wishing to connect with the business community to spread knowledge to the community and society; The university has signed contracts with more than 500 prestigious enterprises and professional associations. Today’s training cooperation signing ceremony held at Vinh Long Campus with 8 agencies and businesses is one of the steps to realize 5 key areas in the program “Community connection – Spreading knowledge – Sustainable action” of UEH, opening up extensive cooperation in diverse areas. UEH hopes that the cooperation agreement between UEH and other units and businesses will provide students with opportunities for learning and practical experience, advanced technology platforms, and situations, as well as create an environment for students to practice and study directly at enterprises, and at the same time implement other activities associated with training with units.”

Sharing in the program, the partners highly appreciated UEH’s training quality, reputation, and brand in economic and management training. At the same time, they are ready to accompany the school in organizing activities to bring students closer to the working environment in the future.

Mr. Vo Thanh Diep – Director of Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank, Vinh Long branch, shared: “The cooperation between the school and the enterprise allows students to improve their professional skills and adapt to the working environment in the future after graduation.  Mr. Nguyen Trang Huy – Director of Public Commercial Joint Stock Bank, Vinh Long branch, said: “The cooperation agreement between the two units once again affirms that the solidarity and cooperation of the two parties will continue to promote strength and create new practical values for UEH – Enterprises – Students. In the past, the cooperation of the two sides has had certain effects in terms of human resources and training; we hope in the near future, we will further improve the cooperation by the market context to promote the resources of the two sides better.”

Regarding the professional requirements for skills of students, Ms. Le Dinh Minh Thy – Director of Vietnam Tourism Marketing and Transport Joint Stock Company – Vietravel, Can Tho Branch, said: “UEH identifies the cooperation relationship between the School and the Enterprise as one of the important strategies in the development of education. After the signing program, Vietravel also confirmed that it will continue to have more intensive and extensive cooperation activities, support students to approach reality, and at the same time deploy many programs and activities to support the training process and develop the training quality of UEH in the coming time, etc. The cooperation activities between the University and Vietravel in particular and enterprises will improve the training quality of UEH.”

At the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Song Toan – General Director of Parker Russell Vietnam Co. Ltd. was excited and expected UEH to be responsible for the community as well as help young generations have the best facilitative learning and working environment with the aims of training high-quality human resources capable of identifying and solving problems in the fields of economics, market consulting, accounting – financial audit, financial consulting, human resource management, legal consultation, etc. He hopes that, in the coming time, the cooperation activities between the University and enterprises will improve the quality of training, simultaneously supporting the supply of high-quality human resources to enterprises.

Also in the signing ceremony, Mr. Ho Tan Hung – Principal of Vietnamese – Korean Technical School, Phu Quoc, shared: “Creating a dynamic and practice-based learning environment for the young generation plays a significant role in cooperation between UEH and Vietnamese – Korean Technical School Phu Quoc, we define this as a long-term connection activity. Vietnamese – Korean Technical School Phu Quoc will continue to accompany UEH to create many activities in support of the school’s training, further promote the combination of training by the practical needs of businesses, focus on training students’ skills, helping students to be confident after graduation and ready to start a business in the future. The school will soon carry out relevant procedures to associate in training, provide quality human resources, and contribute to Phu Quoc’s sustainable development.”
