UEH GOLF TOURNAMENT – SWING FOR FUTURE 2023: Over 1.2 Billion VND To Raise UEH Talent Nurturing Scholarship Fund

After 4 times being organized, UEH GOLF TOURNAMENT – SWING FOR FUTURE has become one of the annual activities connecting the alumni community, partner of the Executive Board of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City Alumni Network (UEH) to jointly carry out social responsibilities, aiming to nurture knowledge for future generations. In order to continue to promote this meaning, UEH GOLF TOURNAMENT – SWING FOR FUTURE 2023 was officially organized by UEH Alumni Golf Club on April 6 with more than 1.2 billion VND contributed to the UEH Talent Nurturing Scholarship Fund.

Following the success of the past years, UEH GOLF TOURNAMENT – SWING FOR FUTURE 2023 fundraising for UEH Talent Nurturing Scholarship was officially held on April 6, 2023 at Tan Son Nhat Golf Course, Ho Chi Minh City. With the practical significance of the tournament confirmed, this year’s golf tournament attracted 142 golfers with the companionship of 40 individuals and sponsors which are 03 Diamond Sponsors (4M Joint Stock Company, Nha Be Garment Corporation, An Phuoc Shoes Embroidery Company Limited); 02 Gold Sponsors (Long Bien Investment Joint Stock Company – Tan Son Nhat Golf Course, Vietcombank – Saigon South Branch); 02 Bronze Sponsors (Song Hanh Advertising Investment Company, Orient Commercial Joint Stock Bank – OCB) together with other 33 individual co-sponsors.

The tournament took place successfully, bringing the value of connecting the community of UEH alumni and partners with exciting moments of competition in the spirit of playing hard for the civilized and affectionating UEH alumni community.

The Organizing Committee awarded prizes to the tournament tables and technique prizes including:

– Women Table Prize: The first prize belongs to Golfer Tran My Ngoc

– MenTable Prize:

+ Table A: Third place, Second place and First place go togolfer Ngo Huu Thanh;  golfer Ly Chinh Duc and golfer Tran Trong Khang, respectively.

+ Table B: Third place, Second place and First place go to golfer Nguyen Tien Loc; golfer Vo Hoang Thu and golfer Le Thuc Hoai, respectively.

+ Table C: Third place, Second place and First place go to golfer Vo Xuan Vinh; golfer Luu Van Giap and golfer Le Tien Hoa, respectively.

– 06 Technique Prizes: The 04 closest-to-the-flag prizes belong to golfers: Nguyen Tu Trung, Bui Duy Khanh, Nguyen Tien Dat, Tran Trong Khang; 01 Longest-shot prize belongs to golfer Tang Hoang Long; 01 prize for the most accurate shot belongs to golfer Le Quang Huy.

Awarding prizes to golfers with excellent performance in the match

In particular, under the awarding Gala, there was an auction of UEH items (uniform shirts, glasses, water bottles) signed by the former Vietnam coach PARK HANG-SEO to raise funds for UEH Talent Nurturing Scholarship. With this practical meaning, the auction program took place excitingly and attracted the enthusiastic participation of golfers. At the end of the auctions, the organizers received 680 million in contributions from sponsors, specifically as follows: Mr. Le Thuc Hoai won the auction of UEH uniforms signed by Coach Park Hang-Seo with the amount of VND 200 million; Mr. Mai Thanh Truc won the auction of a pair of UEH cups signed by Coach Park Hang-Seo with the amount of VND 150 million. In addition, those who did not win in the auctions also contributed to the UEH Talent Nurturing scholarship fund: Mr. Nguyen Quoc Bao contributed VND 200 million, Mr. Tang Thanh Trung contributed VND 100 million; Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh contributed 20 million VND; and Ms. Tran My Ngoc contributed 10 million VND.

Along with the contributions of individuals and units before the tournament took place with an amount of 530 million VND, the UEH GOLF TOURNAMENT – SWING FOR FUTURE 2023 aiming to raise funds for the UEH Talent Nurturing scholarship took place successfully and received more than 1.2 billion VND from sponsorship and auction of items contributed to the UEH Talent Nurturing Scholarship Fund. This is a very valuable and practical scholarship that will support UEH’s talented students to have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and capacity and to contribute to the development of society in the future.
