The transformation of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) into a “Multidisciplinary University” has opened a new chapter in the history of Vietnamese education. Meeting admissions targets for all programs

In the past year, ISB implemented successfully the admissions plan and properly follow the regulations; met and exceeded the admissions targets for all undergraduate programs, listed as ISB BBus Talent Bachelor, Western Sydney Bachelor, Global Pathways for Study Abroad, and Postgraduate programs.

Expanding cooperation with leading educational partners in Australia

ISB is currently continuing to expand cooperation with the world’s leading universities. Through joint programs, students have the opportunity to receive degrees from leading universities in Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.

In addition, in 2023, ISB will also successfully sign agreements with educational partners who are leading prestigious universities in Australia: Deakin University; Monash University and the University of Western Australia – the 2 universities in Australia’s Go8.

Successfully organizing receptions for senior leaders from Australia

Successfully organizing meetings to welcome senior leaders from Australia is an action that shows ISB’s sincerity, as well as special attention to international relations. These events not only strengthen the friendship between the two countries but also provide opportunities to discuss global issues, as well as support cooperation in education and research.

On the occasion of the 50^th anniversary of Vietnam-Australia relations, Ms. Margaret Beazley, Governor of New South Wales, Australia visited the University of Economics of Ho Chi Minh City on May 22, 2023.

The Governor attended meetings and discussions with leaders of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City on cooperation in education between the two countries. Most notably, the Governor and the Western Sydney University representatives participated in the award ceremony of the “Student Business Pitch 2023” competition organized by Western Sydney Vietnam.

The discussion between the Australian Minister of Foreign Affairs and students

On August 23, 2023, UEH was honored to welcome Minister Penny Wong of Foreign Affairs and the Diplomatic Delegation at the Discussion to celebrate 50 years of Vietnam – Australia relations. The event attracted more than 250 students and staff.

The discussion not only demonstrated the friendship between the two countries but also focused on global issues. Minister Wong emphasized the important role of education in the economy, as well as shared his views on energy transition and climate change.

At the Discussion, UEH students discussed and shared opinions, contributing to promoting cooperation between the two countries and spreading awareness about global challenges.

Motivating Global Pathways students through scholarship programs

In 2023, ISB provided plenty of scholarships for Global Pathways students with excellent academic achievements. This is a strong motivation for students to overcome challenges to achieve more success in their learning journey, as well as providing partial financial support for the upcoming transition period of studying abroad.

Outstanding scholarships include the Western Sydney Global Pathways Scholarship and the Macquarie Global Pathways Scholarship.

Shaping career paths for students through the ISB Leadership program

Last year, the ISB Leadership program organized a series of “Seminar” and “Company Tour” sessions bringing students to famous businesses. Participating in orientation sessions, students are equipped with in-depth knowledge and necessary soft skills before joining multinational companies, corporations or even operating their own business in the future.

Expanding connections with educational partners of the CUIBE Association

In a step to expand international relations and improve the quality of education, ISB is pleased to welcome a delegation from the prestigious Haslam School of Business, University of Tennessee on December 4, 2023.

ISB, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City is the first Asian member of the Consortium for Undergraduate International Business Education – CUIBE. The reception aimed to discuss cooperation in developing programs, research, and teaching, as well as providing opportunities for exchange and study abroad between the two schools.

Orientation of ISB in 2024

Inheriting the success of the past year, in 2024, ISB sets important goals to improve the quality of education and affirm its position internationally:

1. Becoming a leading undergraduate and graduate training unit in the field of business.

2. Keeping completing admissions plans and targets.

2. Being oriented and developing the ISB brand through communication activities.

4. Developing strategies and increasing brand awareness of Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral programs.

5. Keeping developing joint programs to expand ISB’s international position.

6. Promoting scientific research with the goal of having articles published in international journals in ISI and SCOPUS.

7. Keeping developing joint training and student exchange activities to contribute to increasing the school’s position internationally.

ISB of University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City was established with the goal of providing a modern and dynamic educational environment according to international standards, with programs entirely in English at the undergraduate and graduate levels with a team of lecturers having high professional qualifications. Students can study and receive degrees from prestigious universities in Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.
