On two days June 16 and 19, 2023, at room A.205, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) had a meeting to welcome the delegation of Hanoi University of Industry and University of Economics – University of Danang to visit and learn from the University administration model.

Over 47 years of establishment and development, UEH has affirmed its brand as a leading prestigious public University in Vietnam, gradually marking on the world market. Since 2021, UEH has officially implemented the restructuring strategy to form a Multidisciplinary and Sustainable University, launching 3 member colleges including UEH College of Business; UEH College of Economics, Law and Government; UEH College of Technology and Design. Not only providing learners with high-quality training programs in economic sciences, business, management, law, technology and design; UEH transfers scientific research results into practice, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources for the industrialization and modernization of the country in the context of global economic integration. On that development journey, UEH always focuses on strengthening and expanding relationships with domestic and foreign partners, especially prestigious and quality universities to bring practical values to learners and society.

Therefore, UEH Board of Directors was very pleased when Hanoi University of Industry as well as University of Economics – University of Danang came to visit and work at the University. In the spirit of openness, UEH shared and exchanged experiences to support the Universities to achieve efficiency in implementing university administration.

Specifically, UEH shared with Hanoi University of Industry the relationship between the Party Committee – School Council – President; University model with affiliated colleges and the organization of activities of affiliated Schools; Decentralized management of human resources and finance for subordinate units; Policy regime to attract and retain a team of highly qualified lecturers and experts and Service activities to serve learners.

With the University of Economics – University of Danang, UEH leaders and specialized departments shared experiences in activities listed as: Developing international standard training programs, How to implement doctoral programs at UEH under project 89, Establishing practice facilities, management and operation methods, Stimulating international student exchange and credit recognition, Establishing and developing the Alumni network, Consulting work local policies and experiences of developing international journals (JABES) and publication, transferring scientific and technological products at UEH.

The leaders of the two Universities expressed their interest in the strengths and weaknesses that UEH had in the past time; on behalf of the delegation, and thanked the UEH leadership for creating favorable conditions and enthusiasm, and supporting as well as organizing meetings. With frank and open sharing and exchange, the meeting took place extremely effectively, opening up deeper cooperation in training and research in the future. It is hoped that the relationship between UEH and the Hanoi University of Industry as well as between UEH and the University of Economics – University of Danang will be more sustainable, contributing to the socio-economic development of the country in the current 4.0 Industry era.
