Training
Training global citizens to act for sustainable development: Operating the Glocal training platform: (1) Teaching knowledge about the 17 SDGs and sustainable development; (2) Focusing on the mindset and skills to apply global knowledge to local issues; and (3) Promoting “life-long learning” by diversifying educational approaches linked to digital transformation.
Research
Community-benefiting research: Effectively operating academic research and application platforms: (1) academic research contributes to global science, linked to internationalization and academic integrity; and (2) applied research, knowledge transfer linked to contemporary issues at the local, regional, and global levels, providing implications and policy consultation from the central level to localities.
Governance
Modern university governance with top priority on sustainability: Operating a modern university model with business management tools, focusing on sustainability from (1) the strategic level to implementation, (2) from the university level to member colleges, branches, and affiliated units, and (3) from organizations to individuals.
Operations
From a circular campus to a green university: Efforts to address sustainability issues at 13 institutions and 2 branches of UEH in Ho Chi Minh City, Vinh Long, and Nha Trang with 10 components: (1) Waste management, (2) Emission management, (3) Energy efficiency, (4) Traffic management, (5) Management of inequality and equity, (6) Building, landscape, and biodiversity management, (7) Occupational health and safety environment, (8) Support for people with disabilities, (9) Dining services on campus, and (10) Purchasing activities.
Community
The community of those who inspire art and those who make changes for sustainability: Connecting a community of learners, staff members, workers, and partners who share the mission of (1) inspiring art, culture, and traditional heritage combined with modern technology and (2) taking sustainable action with specific sustainability projects at UEH.
