The signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between UEH College of Economics, Law, and Government and Remaps Joint Stock Company

On the morning of June 23, 2023, in room B1-205 – 279 Nguyen Tri Phuong, the signing ceremony (of MOU and MOA) took place between UEH College of Economics, Law and Government, School of Economics and Remaps Joint Stock Company.

Attending the ceremony, from the UEH side, were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Khanh Nam – Vice President of UEH College of Economics, Law and Government; MSc. Nguyen Van Duong – Head of Department of Student Affairs (DSA); MSc. Le Thanh Nhan – Vice Dean of School of Economics; Dr. Nguyen Luu Bao Doan – Head of Department, Director of Real Estate Program; Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Thu – Lecturer in Department of Real Estate; General Department and the student club REC.

On the partner side, there was the attendance of Mr. Le Duc Thinh – Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Remaps JSC (signing representative); Ms. Le Duong Bao Ly – Director of Remaps Media; Mr. Le Van Nhan – Director of Remaps Academy; Mr. Le Minh Duc – CEO Founder.

The two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding

Remaps JSC is one of the leading PropTech companies in Vietnam, using digital mapping technologies to provide information about real estate in Vietnam. The company has participated in the Shark Tank Vietnam season 5 program and received an investment commitment of up to 10 billion. According to shared information, Remaps’ website has information on 17.5 million land plots in 21 provinces and cities nationwide. This platform updates the map according to land use planning and allows users to type keywords to find the land plot, view the size, planning, price, navigation, share or post for sale, or rent. After two years of operation, Remaps has 1.2 million users and 110 thousand registered users.

In this cooperation, Mr. Thinh is committed to supporting students and lecturers in the Real Estate Program to use the Remaps platform for teaching, learning, and research. Information from Remaps enables students and lecturers to use real-time location, price, and zoning data to analyze the market, zoning status, and real estate potential. Therefore, teaching and learning in some program subjects will become more exciting and close to reality. This commitment from Remaps JSC contributes to adding digital economy knowledge and skills to the curriculum in the School of Economics and CELG.

In addition, the company also committed to supporting the organization of the real estate contest of the REC student club under the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, which is scheduled to take place at the end of 2023. In addition to financial support for the organization stage, the club receives advice, guidance, and data from the website. As a result, REC’s annual real estate research competition in 2023 promises to be attractive and possibly beyond.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Khanh Nam – Vice Head of UEH College of Economics, Law, and Government, shared: “The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between UEH College of Economics, Law, and Government and Remaps company is one of the solutions to implement CELG – UEH’s action strategy in increasing the application of technology, integrating digitalization into the school’s teaching and training activities. Data increasingly plays an important role in the economic decisions of businesses and investors. At the same time, as users, data mining also requires seriousness and other important skills. In that spirit, the fact that lecturers and students of UEH College of Economics, Law, and Government are facilitated to access real data in the teaching and learning process will help improve the quality of their training while ensuring high adaptability for students after graduation to the modern labor market.”
