The Signing Ceremony Of Cooperation Between UEH And University Of Queensland, Australia

On the morning of October 5, at Room A.205, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) has officially signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Queensland – one of the leading Universities in Australia and the world.
The signing ceremony was honored to welcome Ms. Rebecca Ball – Senior Trade and Investment Counselor under Australian Trade and Investment Commission, Australian Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City.
On behalf of UEH, there was the participation of: Dr. Bui Quang Hung – UEH Vice President; Dr. Pham Duong Phuong Thao – Deputy Head of UEH Department of Research Management and International Cooperation; Dr. Nguyen Phuoc Bao An – Deputy Dean of School of Accounting; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Huy – Head of Department of Public Accounting; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Ha Minh Quan – Dean of International School of Business (ISB).
On behalf of University of Queensland, there were: Mr. Rongyu Li – Senior Vice President; Prof. Aleksandar Rakic ​​- Vice Dean of School of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology; Ms. Thai Thi Cam Chi – Chief Representative in Vietnam.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Bui Quang Hung – Vice President of UEH – shared: “Currently, UEH is implementing a restructuring strategy towards becoming a multidisciplinary and sustainable University by 2025. In particular, establishing 3 member schools including: UEH College of Business; UEH College of Economics, Law and Government; UEH College of Technology and Design. The signing of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between UEH and University of Queensland today is of great value and significance to UEH’s sustainable development. I do believe that the cooperation between UEH and University of Queensland on two international joint programs with UEH School of Accounting and UEH International School of Business will be a great success and serve as a driving platform for strong and wider development in other projects related to educational activities, scientific research and connection programs of the two Universities in the upcoming time.”

After a period of discussion and agreement, representatives of UEH and University of Queensland officially signed a cooperation agreement (MOU). At the same time, at the ceremony, the MOA was signed between UEH School of Accountancy, ISB Institute (UEH) and University of Queensland on 02 joint programs agreed between the parties including: Joint Program on Corporate Accounting, Public Accountant between UEH School of Accountancy – University of Queensland; and International Joint Program in Business between ISB – University of Queensland.

Therefore, the cooperation between UEH and University of Queensland will bring advanced training quality with open study abroad opportunities, study exchange at the world’s leading school for UEH learners; concurrently, it will be the opening platform for more extensive cooperation in training and research in the future.
