University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City and Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding

On the afternoon of March 13, 2023, at the Hall of Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) and Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding. This was an important event marking long-term and sustainable cooperation between the two sides in training high-quality human resources, researching and implementing activities to meet the socio-economic development needs of Tay Ninh province in the upcoming period.

Attending the Signing Ceremony, on the side of UEH, there was the presence of Prof.Dr. Su Dinh Thanh – Director of UEH; Dr. Dinh Cong Khai – Deputy Director of UEH; Mr. Tran Anh Thanh Son – Deputy Chief of the University Office; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tu Van Binh – Deputy Director of the Graduate School; Mr. Phan Nhu Minh – Director of the International Language And Country Studies Institute, and Dr. Nguyen Kim Duc – Deputy Director of the Institute for Regional Development Research and Consulting.

On the side of Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, there was the attendance of Comrade Vo Duc Trong – Standing Vice Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee; Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Hien – Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Tay Ninh Province, and representatives of Departments, Boards, and Services of Tay Ninh province.

Overview of the signing ceremony

Speaking under the frame of the signing ceremony, Comrade Vo Duc Trong – Standing Vice Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee – emphasized that Tay Ninh province has many potentials and strengths in the Southeast region, especially in tourism. Comrade Vo Duc Trong believed that the cooperation program between the two sides would contribute to the socio-economic development of Tay Ninh province in the upcoming years as well as contribute to the research and training of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City. The cooperation activities of UEH and Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee would be concretized into plans and assessed annually so that the cooperation contents can be implemented effectively.

At the ceremony, Prof.Dr. Su Dinh Thanh – Director of UEH, on behalf of UEH, thanked the People’s Committee of Tay Ninh Province for trusting and facilitating the University to carry out research and training content to serve the socio-economic development of the province. University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City will continue to research and add more preferential policies on training and scholarships for Tay Ninh province to strengthen the cooperative relationship between the two units and commit to implementing effectively the agreed contents.

After discussing and agreeing on operational directions in the near future, UEH and Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the following contents:

  • Cooperation in training and human resource development.
  • Cooperation in research, science and technology transfer, digital transformation, and smart cities according to the applied research orientation of Tay Ninh province.
  • Cooperation in consulting and building scientific and technological tasks deployed in Tay Ninh province.
  • Cooperation and co-organization in thematic conferences in the province.
  • Cooperation in criticizing and consulting on programs, policies, and socio-economic development plans of Tay Ninh province every 5 years.
  • Cooperation in criticizing and consulting for projects and design for development planning of Tay Ninh province to 2030, vision to 2050.
