During the ceremony, Dr. Dinh Thi Thu Hong – Vice Rector of the UEH College of Business, underscored the institution’s mission to cultivate high-caliber talents in business, fostering global citizens poised for success. She emphasized the strategic imperative of preparing students for future endeavors and empowering their individual capacities. Collaboration between academia and hospitality establishments is pivotal to ensure students acquire knowledge, skills, and practical experiences aligned with the dynamic demands of the labor market.

With the increase in international tourists and the development of the economy, the demand for manpower in this industry has also risen considerably. Training manpower for the luxury hotel sector in Vietnam is now receiving significant attention and investment to meet the growing needs of the market. Leveraging its existing strengths, Caravelle Saigon Hotel is committed to long-term collaboration with the School of Tourism in receiving interns, participating in corporate semester programs, recruiting graduating students, as well as engaging in various cooperative activities and supporting students”.

Following the signing ceremony, an animated exchange unfolded between the leadership team and students of the Tourism Department. Students gleaned insights from industry experts on core business facets, interview protocols, employment and internship opportunities, as well as the challenges and essentials for becoming valued members of the “Caravelle family.” Armed with newfound knowledge, Hotel Management students embarked on their journey better prepared for internships and practical training ahead.

Continuing the program was an immersive tour of Caravelle Saigon Hotels, an indispensable component of the Tourism Department’s curriculum. This hands-on experience provided students with a panoramic view of the industry through firsthand encounters with premium services at hotels and resorts, gaining insights into the operations of various departments such as Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Banquet and Conference Services, Restaurant, and Casino.
