MOU signing ceremony between UEH and Xiamen University, China

On March 28, 2024, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH) welcomed a delegation from Xiamen University, China, for an official visit and signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with UEH.

Attending the MOU signing ceremony, on the partner side, the delegation leader was Prof. Zhang Zongyi, President; Prof. Xie Zhaoxiong, Executive Deputy Dean of Graduate School; Prof. Wang Cheng, Director of Academic Affairs Office; Prof. Pan Yue, Director of Managing Department of Social Sciences; Ms. Yu Hongbo, Executive Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Office and Prof. Gao Yanjie, Dean of School of International Relations.

On UEH’s side, there was the presence of Prof. Su Dinh Thanh – Director of UEH; Dr. Dinh Cong Khai – Deputy Director of UEH; Assoc.Prof. Bui Thanh Trang – Vice Rector of UEH College of Business; Assoc.Prof. Pham Khanh Nam – Rector of UEH College of Economics, Law and Government; Assoc.Prof. Trinh Thuy Anh – Vice Rector of UEH College of Technology and Design; along with leaders and representatives of departments under UEH.

Xiamen University is a public university, belonging to a group of five leading universities in China in the fields of technology, business, and law. Moreover, Xiamen University is ranked between 301-350 in THE (Times Higher Education)’s global university rankings.

At the official meeting, UEH and Xiamen University discussed cooperation opportunities in faculty and student exchange programs, scientific research, organizing conferences, seminars, thematic reports, research cooperation, and other fields. After that, the signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding between UEH and Xiamen University took place in the presence of all attending delegates.

With the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on March 28, 2024, UEH and Xiamen University, a public university in China’s top group, now have a lot of potential to collaborate, particularly in the areas of technology, artificial intelligence, law, design, and so on, as UEH seeks to be transdisciplinary in all of the aforementioned areas. Following the MOU signing ceremony, UEH will continue to sign MOA with Xiamen University on the discussed areas to promote international cooperation with Chinese partners.
