The Signing Ceremony Of Cooperation Between UEH College Of Business And Gotadi Tourism Technology Joint Stock Company

On the morning of June 24th, 2022, at the Room B1-204, UEH College of Business (COB) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Gotadi Tourism Technology Joint Stock Company for the period of 2022 – 2027. This cooperation aims to improve the quality of training in Tourism and Travel Service Management at the School of Tourism, helping students improve their practical knowledge and access many opportunities in work.

Attending the signing ceremony, on behalf of UEH College of Business, there were: Assoc.Prof.Dr. Bui Thanh Trang – Deputy Head of UEH College of Business; Dr. Nguyen Duc Tri – Dean of School of Tourism; MSc. Doan Duc Minh, and lecturers from the School of Tourism.

On behalf of Gotadi Tourism Technology Joint Stock Company, there were the attendance of Mr. Ngo Minh Duc – Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Ngo Phuong Chi – Member of the Board of Directors; Mr. Le Huynh Trieu – Human Resources Director.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop and training, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Thanh Trang shared: “In the context of the industrial revolution 4.0 with the characteristics of technology and digitization, which is having a profound impact on higher education in many aspects, it requires universities to innovate their strategic mindset proactively, renovate models, accelerate the process of digital transformation and applying new technologies, and so on. Therefore, in recent years, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) has been making constant efforts to change towards internationalization in training, research, operations, and administration to affirm its academic reputation on the map of Vietnam’s higher education and in the world. The cooperation between UEH College Business and Gotadi Tourism Technology Joint Stock Company will promote the direction of high-quality, applied training of UEH in general and COB in particular, encouraging students to participate in the corporate semester, business visits, as well as invite experts to share experiences for students. Since then, students will quickly become familiar with the real environment, be inspired by their predecessors, dedicate, and contribute to businesses, society, and the country.”

The representative of Gotadi Tourism Technology Joint Stock Company, Mr. Ngo Minh Duc shared: “In recent years, Gotadi has carried out strong digital transformation in its activities, especially the provision of travel products on online platforms for both corporate and individual customers. Gotadi is proud to be one of the rare OTAs (Online Travel Agents) in Vietnam whose ideas, design, construction, and operation are all made by Vietnamese people. Today, the Company is very happy to have the opportunity to cooperate with UEH College of Business and commits to accompanying the school in the field of training, consulting to update new industries, and helping students have opportunities to practice and foster their working experience to gain practical experience at Gotadi as well as partner businesses. In addition, each individual of the company will accompany, inspire the next generations and share knowledge. The cooperation is also an opportunity for Gotadi to access quality human resources from UEH College of Business to approach the company, continue to realize the dream of Vietnamese products, and give more chances to Gotadi employees in the South can study and improve their expertise.”

In the spirit of a unified agreement, UEH College of Business and Gotadi Tourism Technology Joint Stock Company officially signed a cooperation agreement with the following contents:

(1) Connecting practical training: Internship Program/Business Semester; Knowledge dissemination and career orientation program; Participating in research and development of tourism products; Coordinating to organize short-term training in the field of Tourism; Sharing knowledge to Enterprises;

(2) Connecting to attract human resources: Communicating and promoting tourism training programs and tourism products; Disseminating images and recruitment information of both sides;

(3) Fund Contribution – Together with UEH “Connecting the community – Spreading knowledge – Acting Sustainably”: Accompanying and supporting international sharing activities, spreading knowledge, and incubating startups.

The successful signing ceremony of UEH College of Business and Gotadi Tourism Technology Joint Stock Company is the premise to affirm and expand the strong cooperation relationship in training, fostering, and developing high-quality human resources, contributing to the country’s economic development.
