Slogan composing contest: WRITE STORY OF UEH UNIVERSITY MULTIFUNCTIONAL AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

45 years of establishment and development (October 27, 1976-October 27, 2021), University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) has achieved many great achievements in education, research, consulting and knowledge transfer, recognized by the domestic and international community. UEH is one of 14 key public universities with leading prestige in the field of economics and management of Vietnam. The period 2021-2025 is an important stage in the university’s long-term development journey with the restructuring strategy of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City, established UEH University with multidisciplinary and sustainable development. UEH University brand is positioned towards a sustainable multidisciplinary University, taking the contribution to the sustainable future of the community & society as a destination with 4 values:

With new positioning values, UEH University brand wishes to create the image of a new generation university: (1) Quality – Trust – Sustainable; (2) Integration; (3) Creative – Technology; (4) Artistic inspiration –  Happiness – Leading, through training, research, consulting and community engagement.

To write the story of the multidisciplinary UEH University for sustainable development, UEH cordially invites the participation of the local community & international, because you are one of the important pillars to accompany, understand, support and open the story with UEH on a new journey “University of multidisciplinary and sustainable development UEH”.

1. Participants:

The contest is open to all global citizens and Vietnamese citizens living, studying and working in Vietnam as well as abroad;

UEH encourages professional subjects such as creative experts, content marketing experts, educational media experts, writers, poets, etc., and learners and officials who have been studying and working at UEH to participate in the competition.

01 Special Prize: For the author whose idea is selected as the official slogan of UEH University in the period of 2021-2030. Total prize value up to 60,000,000 ($2500)

  • Cash Prize: 50 million Vietnamese Dong (over $2000);
  • UEH brand product set includes: Backpack, water bottle & amp; thermos cup, notebook box;
  • Complimentary 03-night stay at UEH Hotel (including room fee and other services, excluding food costs).

04 Consolation prizes: For authors with suitable ideas selected as tagline/messages for key communication activities of the school.

  • Cash Prize: 5 million Vietnamese Dong (nearly $220);

5. Criteria for evaluating ideas:

Regarding content, layers of meaning:

(1) Appropriate and meaningful for the three main transitions of the school’s brand:

  • From University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City to UEH University with multidisciplinary and sustainable development;
  • From leading the field of Economics and Management to a multidisciplinary university and sustainable development;
  • From UEH students to global citizens for sustainable development.

(2) Consistent, significant for the 4 positional values of UEH

  • From UEH Learners to Empowered Global Citizens for Sustainable Development – From UEH Learners to Empowered Global Citizens for Sustainable Development;
  • From research and consulting to positive outcomes for the community & Social – From Research to Positive Societal Impact;

About the form:

(1) Short and concise;

(2) Prioritize the evaluation of the English version (for the sake of the school’s internationalization), so words, phrases, grammar, and sentence structure ensure creativity, sophistication but closeness, and easy understanding. easy to remember. Capable of standard translation & ensure the meaning in the Vietnamese version;

(3) Tone, rhythm when reading: ensure rhyme, fluency, readability, sophistication (including English & Vietnamese versions).

6. General rules:

The slogan idea given does not coincide with any ideas or initiatives that have been announced by other authors. At any time if the contest idea is proven to infringe intellectual property rights, the right to participate will be forfeited, the prize will be revoked;

The Organizing Committee has the right to use all content, articles, illustrations submitted by the author to participate in the contest for the purposes of propaganda, education, and school activities without the need to obtain permission or to pay a fee to an individual or group of authors;

During the competition, individuals or groups of authors are not allowed to directly upload their entries to other media channels, but must go through the link (link) provided by the Organizing Committee;

In case of disagreement, based on the contest rules, the final decision will belong to the Organizing Committee.
