In Week 3 – July 2026, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) continued to record an outstanding series of international publications, reaffirming its expanding interdisciplinary research capacity. The latest studies demonstrate UEH's ability to integrate economics, management, technology, social sciences, and data science in addressing pressing issues related to digital transformation, sustainable development, corporate governance, and innovation.

Addressing Real-World Challenges Through Contemporary Academic Perspectives

From an academic perspective, UEH researchers successfully applied and extended internationally recognized theoretical frameworks, including the Stimulus–Organism–Response (S-O-R) Model, Contingency Theory, Stakeholder Theory, and Signaling Theory, providing interdisciplinary insights into emerging global issues.

This week's publications explored several highly relevant research themes:

  • – Digital Transformation & Artificial Intelligence (AI): Investigating consumer purchasing behavior on e-commerce live-streaming platforms such as Shopee Live; advancing AI and machine learning applications for human action recognition and telecom customer churn prediction; and developing intelligent data-driven analytical models to support business decision-making.

  • – Sustainability & ESG: Examining ESG-oriented practices in healthcare services to enhance customer retention; developing digital logistics and reverse logistics models to promote sustainable consumption and circular economy practices; and assessing how biodiversity risk influences corporate investment, financing decisions, and green innovation.

  • – Economics, Management & Inclusive Society: Exploring sustainable development pathways across ASEAN economies; evaluating the roles of information technology and management accounting in improving firm performance; investigating graduate employability through soft skills and organizational fit; and examining legal frameworks for compulsory drug treatment of minors alongside digital communication strategies for destination branding.

Advancing Research Excellence Through Data Science and Empirical Methods

UEH's research excellence continues to be demonstrated through the application of rigorous analytical techniques capable of addressing complex datasets and multidisciplinary research questions.

The studies employed a diverse range of advanced methodologies, including:

  • – Data Science & Artificial Intelligence: Machine learning, deep learning, Energy-Based Models, predictive analytics, and intelligent classification algorithms for behavioral analysis and business forecasting.

  • – Econometrics & Behavioral Analytics: Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), mediation and moderation analysis, longitudinal panel-data analysis, mixed-method research designs, and advanced statistical techniques to examine consumer behavior, corporate performance, and policy effectiveness.

The integration of consumer-level, firm-level, and national datasets with sophisticated analytical approaches continues to produce research that combines strong academic rigor with practical implications for businesses, policymakers, and society.

Creating Knowledge for Green and Digital Transformation

Overall, this week's publications further reinforce UEH's position as a leading interdisciplinary research university.
