In 2025, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) continued to organize and deliver executive education programmes and vocational training open to the general public, serving the lifelong learning needs of business leaders, workers, experts, researchers and professional groups outside UEH. The programmes were delivered in two formats: programmed training (scheduled, recurring programmes) and ad-hoc training (thematic courses responding to specific needs), covering management, finance, accounting, technology, sustainable development and professional competencies.

Through the short-course systems of its member schools (COB, CELG, CTD and UEH.ISB), UEH Mekong and its specialized training and research units, UEH widens lifelong learning opportunities and builds the professional capacity of people who are not enrolled in its degree programmes. Activities focus on business management, finance and accounting, health economics, management technology, data analytics and sustainable development, aiming to improve the quality of human resources and their adaptability to labour market requirements.

Two formats of short-term training and vocational training at UEH in 2025

In 2025, UEH maintained two training formats for learners from outside the University. For programmed training, UEH delivered courses with a defined structure, duration, competency objectives and admissions plan; notable examples are the UEH CEO Program and the Economic and Financial Management Programme for the Healthcare Sector.

For ad-hoc training, UEH worked with government agencies, professional organizations and businesses to deliver thematic training courses that meet needs for updated knowledge and practical skills. Highlights include the training conference on Circular No. 99/2025/TT-BTC, organized with the Ministry of Finance, and the professional training for Controllers of the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group.

These activities were held at UEH campuses for learners who are not enrolled in the University’s degree programmes, demonstrating UEH’s capacity to provide executive education and vocational training both through long-term plans and in response to professional needs arising in 2025.

Scale of short-term training and vocational training in 2025

UEH maintains its short-term training system through the training offices and short-course centres of its member schools, offering professional and management development programmes for the community outside UEH. According to the 2025 activity report, the short-term training system recorded 275 courses and 5,962 certificates issued.

Compared with 2024, when HUREDIN delivered 180 courses and issued 4,265 certificates, activity in 2025 increased by 95 courses and 1,697 certificates, reflecting growth in the scale and capacity of training and in the community’s demand for learning and professional development.

In addition, UEH’s training review report shows that University-wide short-term training revenue in 2025 grew by 27.21% compared with 2024, alongside expansion into new fields such as digital transformation, e-commerce, logistics, public procurement, and economic and financial management for the healthcare sector.
