The University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) regards open education and lifelong learning as key directions in its strategy to develop as a Multidisciplinary and Sustainable University. Beyond offering degree programmes to its enrolled students, UEH organizes and hosts many educational events at its campuses that are open to the general public, enabling secondary school students, parents, students of other institutions, lecturers, scientists, experts, businesses and the community to access, share and exchange knowledge.
These activities are sustained under the UEH Development Strategy 2021–2030, the UEH Regulations on Organization and Operation, and the University’s community engagement, innovation and sustainable development programmes. Accordingly, UEH promotes the sharing of higher education resources through scientific conferences, public lectures, skills development workshops, career guidance events, technology experiences, cultural exchanges and arts activities.
In 2025, UEH organized and hosted educational events at its campuses that were open to the general public under two access models:
- Free events: community education programmes, book fairs, skills development workshops and experiential activities organized for participants from within and outside UEH with no attendance fee, subject to the conditions of each programme.
- Charged events: scientific conferences, international conferences and professional programmes with registration fees, as publicly announced by the organizing committees.
Offering both models meets the learning and knowledge-exchange needs of diverse public groups and demonstrates transparency about the conditions for accessing educational events at UEH.
UEH carries out community service activities linked to open education, inter-institutional collaboration and social responsibility. Programmes are held in various spaces across the UEH system, including its campuses in Ho Chi Minh City, UEH Mekong, the Smart Library, creative spaces and academic venues of its member schools.
Events are publicized through the UEH Portal, the websites of member schools, faculties, institutes and affiliated units, and the media channels of press and partners. Publishing this information allows people from outside the University to find programmes and learn about their topics, dates, venues and participation conditions.

Conclusion:
In 2025, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) continued to affirm its role as a multidisciplinary and sustainable university by organizing and hosting educational events on campus that are open to the general public, widening access to knowledge for the community outside UEH. Activities were offered as both free and charged events, including career fairs, book fairs, skills workshops, thematic seminars and international scientific conferences. In this way, UEH enabled secondary school students, parents, students of other institutions, scientists, experts, businesses and interested individuals to exchange, learn and update their knowledge.
Key results in 2025 show the expansion of both the reach and the content of community education at UEH. UEH Book Fair 2025 attracted more than 600 visits to its digital resources exhibition and nearly 150 participants at the workshop “Effective Learning in the 4.0 Era”; Family Connect 2025 created an experiential learning space for more than 100 people, including families and children from the local community; UNI ON THE GO 2025 at UEH Mekong connected nearly 200 secondary school students with technology experiences and skills development; and UEH Sharing & Giving – Career Fair 2025 attracted 6,797 attendances and connected nearly 5,000 job opportunities. At the same time, UEH continued to host charged international scientific conferences such as ACBES 2025, iCOB 2025, ELG 2025 and IMAGINE! 2025, strengthening knowledge exchange and connecting researchers and professional communities in Vietnam and internationally.
Compared with 2024, when UEH already maintained many series of educational and community engagement events, 2025 continued these flagship activities while diversifying topics to include digital transformation, artificial intelligence, innovation, sustainable development and international integration.
