In 2025, UEH organised and co-hosted free events for local farmers and food producers, agricultural cooperatives, agri-food businesses and their supporting organisations, particularly in the Mekong Delta. Through UEH Mekong, the university provided opportunities for producers, public agencies, experts and researchers to exchange experience, access applied knowledge and build partnerships supporting sustainable agricultural development.
Major activities included the international Agri-Food Trade and Sustainability workshop under the TRADE4SD project, NCTD 2025 sessions on smart agriculture and sustainable rural development, and local-business networking events at UEH Mekong. Discussions covered production standards, sustainable food trade, agricultural technology, value addition, supply-chain management and market access for local producers.
UEH complemented face-to-face dialogue with publicly accessible reports and event summaries on its website. The events were designed to strengthen connections among the university, public authorities, agricultural businesses, local producer communities and their support organisations, with the dissemination of research and practical knowledge at no access charge.
UEH’s 2025 event programme supported free knowledge exchange for local farmers, cooperatives and food producers through workshops, dialogue forums and practical sessions. Related presentations and summaries were shared on public university channels, although overall event attendance figures should not automatically be interpreted as the number of farmers participating.

Results of implementation in 2025 and highlights compared to 2024.
In 2025, UEH continued to expand its knowledge-sharing activities for agricultural and food businesses, farmer support organizations, and stakeholders in the Mekong Delta. Through specialized workshops and forums, the university facilitated access to knowledge about agricultural trade, technology application, digital transformation of cooperatives, and product value enhancement for the production community, while promoting exchanges between businesses, scientists, and management agencies.
A notable outcome was the international TRADE4SD workshop held on May 15, 2025 at UEH Mekong, with over 120 delegates, including representatives from food production and processing businesses directly participating in discussions with international experts. The NCTD 2025 workshop, held on October 31, 2025, further expanded the content of knowledge exchange and application, with over 200 delegates attending the entire workshop and a thematic session on smart agriculture, digital transformation for cooperatives, and enhancing the value of OCOP products. In December 2025, UEH Mekong collaborated to organize a program connecting local businesses, adding a space for exchange on market trends, product quality, and business cooperation.
The implementation results show that UEH’s role is not only in disseminating research but also in its ability to create spaces for meetings, dialogues, and networking to serve sustainable agricultural development.
Compared to 2024, when UEH focused on connecting rural communities and organizing research and knowledge transfer forums in the field of sustainable development, 2025 featured events with more specialized content on agricultural trade and agricultural production technology. These activities not only created opportunities for stakeholders to meet but also introduce solutions regarding production standards, technology applications, cooperative development, and market connections, contributing to improved access to knowledge for local food producers.
Through organizing and coordinating specialized events, UEH continues to play a bridging role between universities, management agencies, businesses, and organizations related to agricultural and food production, promoting cooperation and knowledge sharing to serve sustainable agricultural development, contributing to the achievement of SDG 2 – Zero Hunger.
