In 2025, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) continued to provide students with free access to sexual and reproductive health-care services, including information, education, counselling and initial examination services, through the Student Support Unit and the campus health system of the Department of Student Affairs (DSA). These services enable students to access scientific knowledge, recognize risks to their sexual and reproductive health, seek support and use appropriate health services when needed.

UEH has dedicated units, the Department of Student Affairs (DSA) and the Campus Health Unit, which provide intake, counselling and sexual and reproductive health care for students on a regular, continuous basis every working day, and receive student contacts 24/7. The scope of counselling covers specialized topics such as contraception, the prevention and recognition of sexually transmitted infections, menstrual health, and guidance on accessing specialist clinics. In special cases, physicians and campus health staff refer students to appropriate health facilities for in-depth examination and treatment. All information, education and initial counselling services on campus are provided free of charge. Through the Student Support Unit and a network of 03 medical rooms at Campuses A, B and N, staffed by 01 Level I specialist physician and 03 assistant physicians, UEH provides intake, counselling and primary health care for students, including support for sexual and reproductive health concerns, and refers students to specialist health facilities when necessary. In parallel, UEH runs education programmes on sexuality, safe sex, consent in relationships and the prevention of sexual harassment, combining online communication with in-person sessions with experts.

A highlight of 2025 was a series of health education programmes involving physicians, psychologists and legal experts, including the talkshow “Sexual Harassment – Stay Silent or Speak Up?” on October 15, 2025, which attracted nearly 400 students. UEH’s information, education, counselling and initial examination services are provided free of charge, while examination and treatment at external specialist facilities are covered under health insurance policies and the regulations of the receiving facility.

UEH learners

In 2025, UEH continued to provide free information and knowledge on sexual and reproductive health through the official communication channels of the University, the Department of Student Affairs (DSA), and the Youth Union and Student Association.

The content focused on raising awareness of sexual health, preventing sexually transmitted infections, bodily autonomy, consent, personal boundaries and recognizing the risks of sexual harassment or abuse.

For example, on May 26, 2025, DSA published an article on gender equality in recognizing victims of sexual harassment, emphasizing that people of all genders have the right to protection. On November 18, 2025, UEH published content on the F.R.I.E.S. principles of consent, guiding learners to recognize unsafe situations and how to seek support.

In 2025, DSA continued to maintain support channels for students on issues related to personal relationships, consent, sexual harassment and the need for protection in the learning environment.

Students were given information on the procedure for receiving and supporting students who experience sexual harassment, DSA’s official contact channels and the confidential support mechanism. DSA’s information intake, counselling and initial support services are provided free of charge to students.

2025 results and continuity of sexual and reproductive health-care services

In 2025, UEH continued to maintain free access to information, education and initial counselling services on sexual and reproductive health for students, combining campus health services with communication and thematic education programmes run by the Department of Student Affairs (DSA).

A highlight of 2025 was the combination of primary health support and sexual health education through both in-person and online formats. Thematic programmes involving physicians, psychologists and legal experts helped students better understand safe sex, consent, bodily autonomy and skills to prevent abuse. At the same time, DSA’s counselling and medical referral system enabled students to seek professional support on their own initiative when needed.

Building on the activities carried out in 2024, UEH continued its model of sexual and reproductive health support for students, combining preventive education with primary health care. Another notable feature of 2025 was the coordination between the Student Support Unit and the Campus Health Unit of the Department of Student Affairs (DSA) in intake, counselling, initial examination and referral when necessary, alongside education programmes on safe sex, consent and abuse prevention.

By providing free initial support services and health education on campus, UEH enables students to access reliable information, seek support proactively and use appropriate specialist services, contributing to a safe university environment that respects privacy and improves the health and well-being of learners in line with SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being.
