In 2025, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) continued its policy of sharing all of its sports facilities free of charge at the Nguyen Van Linh Campus (Ho Chi Minh City) and UEH Mekong (Vinh Long) with partner universities and colleges, connected organizations and enterprises, and the alumni community. By extending access to its sports grounds and training equipment through cooperation, exchange and competition programmes organized or approved by the University, UEH puts university resources at the service of the community, encourages physical exercise and promotes health and social well-being.
UEH shares its sports facilities on a regular basis according to each campus’s activity schedule, not only for one-off events. A key example is the Truong Tuoi Group – UEH League, an annual football tournament organized by UEH since 2024; from the 2025 season, it has been open to the community within and outside UEH, including alumni and students of other universities and colleges. In 2025, the Nguyen Van Linh Campus pitch was used every week on Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons and evenings from April to November for 49 matches involving 10 teams. In parallel, UEH Mekong maintained regular sports exchanges with students of universities within and outside Vinh Long Province. Groups from outside UEH use the sports facilities free of charge within the scope of approved activities.
Free sports facility sharing mechanism in 2025
UEH applies Free access to all sports facilities across all of its sports facilities, including the football pitch, volleyball and basketball courts, multi-purpose courts, badminton and table tennis areas, and training equipment at the Nguyen Van Linh Campus and UEH Mekong.
Accordingly, partner universities and colleges, connected organizations and enterprises, and the alumni community are allocated sports facilities suited to their needs completely free of charge, with no fees for renting grounds or using equipment, in programmes organized or approved by UEH. Use is coordinated according to the activity schedule, safety requirements and the capacity of each campus, ensuring efficient use while maintaining community access to the University’s sports resources.
The activities, beneficiaries and outcomes of sports facility use in 2025 are detailed in the evidence table below.

Results and continuity of sports facility sharing
In 2025, UEH continued to share its sports facilities free of charge through activities connecting it with other universities, partner enterprises and the alumni community. The friendly matches, tournaments and inter-university exchanges at the Nguyen Van Linh Campus and UEH Mekong show that the University’s sports grounds and training equipment serve not only its own students and staff but are also shared with groups from outside the University through regularly organized cooperation activities.
Compared with 2024, UEH further expanded its community engagement through sports, most notably by opening UEH League 2025 to alumni and students of other universities and colleges, while maintaining inter-university sports exchanges at UEH Mekong. Under its mechanism of free access to all sports facilities within approved programmes, UEH makes more effective use of existing resources, widens opportunities for physical exercise and strengthens ties between the University and the community, contributing to SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being.
