UEH promotes the program to support poor students from difficult countries and regions within the country.
In order to create equal opportunities for all individuals, in 2023, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) is intensifying programs and scholarships to support international students from developing countries and students from rural areas in the country, helping talented youth to overcome difficulties and excel in their studies.
Financial support policy for international students at UEH
In addition to the support policies for domestic students, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City has also developed scholarship policies for international students from developing countries. Specifically, in 2023, UEH has awarded 50 types of scholarships for students with Lao and Cambodian nationality, 10 for students with Cuban nationality, and 40 other types of scholarships for students from other countries.
Scholarship for new students from disadvantaged backgrounds, students from the Mekong Delta region
Accompanying new students, each year, UEH always implements attractive scholarship policies for students. In 2023, the school awarded 900 scholarships to excellent and outstanding candidates, as well as those from disadvantaged backgrounds who were admitted to the school. Specifically, UEH allocated 165 scholarships to support study for new students with difficult circumstances, and 90 special admission scholarships for 100% of candidates with permanent residence in the Mekong Delta region who were admitted to 03 training programs at UEH-Vinh Long Campus (KSV): Technology and Innovation; Robotics and Artificial Intelligence; and Agribusiness. This will serve as a foundation to create a high-quality human resource generation, possessing comprehensive capabilities after four years of training at UEH, with the motto “Unbounded creativity. Empowered futures. Holistic values”
UEH Global Project – STEM Teaching Program: Spreading knowledge in the fields of Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Technology, and Innovation in high schools.
In the early months of 2023, the STEM Education program launched by the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) has commenced and received strong support from the community of high school teachers and students in developing provinces such as Khanh Hoa and Vinh Long. The program’s output products, such as the UEH Dancing Robot Contest, have somewhat inspired the younger generation in remote areas to access technology, marking the beginning of their journey of knowledge in very new fields closely related to the trends of “Robots and Artificial Intelligence” and “Technology and Innovation.”

The community programs and scholarships that UEH offers to underprivileged students both domestically and internationally have, to some extent, provided financial assistance, creating opportunities for them to continue pursuing their educational dreams. At the same time, this reaffirms UEH’s commitment to future generations, training high-quality human resources to contribute to socio-economic development.
