University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) regularly cooperates with NGOs in many fields, aiming to directly contribute to the realisation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This cooperation is implemented through three main forms:
+ Student volunteering: UEH partners with the Red Cross Society and social organisations to carry out blood‑donation activities, community charity, mobilising students to directly improve social welfare.
+ Research programmes: UEH cooperates with international non‑profit organisations in the fields of education and the environment, jointly implementing research and scientific conferences to enhance knowledge and sustainable‑development policy.
+ Development of educational resources: UEH collaborates with VietTESOL and AAEE (Asia Association of Education and Exchange) – educational NGOs – to build learning resources, facilitate student exchanges, and improve teaching capacity in the artificial‑intelligence era.
These collaborations not only enable students to directly participate in community programmes, but also expand academic and international partnership networks, while disseminating knowledge and sustainable‑action models. Consequently, UEH both raises social awareness of the SDGs and creates practical impacts on communities and the environment, in line with its strategy to become a multidisciplinary, sustainable, and socially responsible university.

From the research‑oriented and internationally collaborative initiatives launched in 2023, UEH continued to expand and disseminate sustainable impact to the community in 2024.
Previously, UEH affirmed its position as a globally‑oriented university dedicated to sustainable development through projects such as EEPSEA‑EfD on climate risk, HAPRI‑ACIAR‑IDRC on food loss, and the Zero‑Waste Campus in partnership with the Global VNPR Alliance. In 2024, the university demonstrated the translation of research outcomes into concrete social actions. UEH broadened its cooperation with domestic NGOs – including the Red Cross Society, the Young Doctors Association, the Green Future Fund, VietTESOL, and AAEE – bringing SDG values closer to students and the wider community through volunteering programmes, educational activities, and innovations in the learning environment.
This shift illustrates a natural and sustainable development trajectory: moving from global collaborations that shape knowledge and policy models to the localisation and diffusion of SDG impacts within university life and society at large. As a result, UEH not only maintains its international academic standing but also becomes a hub for disseminating sustainable practices, linking knowledge, action, and community.
