In its journey to promote environmental education and climate change adaptation capacity, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) is not only an educational institution but also a partner working alongside NGOs, research institutes, and international development agencies. By connecting scientific knowledge with practical action, UEH has built a multi-layered collaboration network, contributing to a climate education foundation where knowledge, technology, and community come together to drive change.
In this spirit, UEH has implemented numerous programs, workshops, and collaborative projects with international organizations such as the French Development Agency (AFD), the Southeast Asia Environmental Economics Program (EEPSEA), and research organizations in the Mekong region. These initiatives not only raise awareness about sustainable development but also train students, managers, and local communities in climate adaptation skills, ecological restoration, and carbon management. If in 2023, the public lecture “Israel: A Country on the Front Line of Climate Innovation” merely opened a bridge for international knowledge exchange on climate innovation, then by 2024, UEH had taken a significant step forward by expanding its collaboration with various non-governmental organizations and development agencies through practical action projects such as GS4Infra, Green Seeds, and climate education podcasts. From inspiration to implementation, UEH has transformed into a hub of knowledge, education, and community engagement, contributing to integrating climate adaptation thinking into sustainable living practices in Vietnam and the region.
When knowledge transcends the boundaries of classrooms, and when every partnership becomes a seed of change, UEH is steadily shaping a generation of “global citizens for climate” — individuals who understand, act, and spread the values of sustainability in every life choice. The collaboration between UEH and non-governmental organizations not only demonstrates the university’s pioneering spirit but also affirms that climate education is the most sustainable path to protecting the planet’s future.
