Amid the growing impacts of climate change on every aspect of life, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) has gone beyond its traditional role as a knowledge provider to proactively become a hub for climate education dissemination – a place where knowledge, action, and social responsibility converge for a sustainable future.
Recognizing that education is the key to addressing the climate crisis, UEH has developed a comprehensive strategy to integrate topics on climate risks, impacts, mitigation, and adaptation into its ecosystem of training, research, and community engagement. Through this approach, UEH aims to nurture a generation of students and researchers who not only understand sustainable development but are also capable of acting, innovating, and leading transformative change in society.
To realize this vision, UEH has implemented a wide range of educational programs, community projects, academic seminars, and climate-focused communication campaigns, engaging tens of thousands of students, lecturers, and both domestic and international partners. These activities are designed with flexibility and practical relevance to Vietnam’s urban and ecological contexts, enabling learners to approach climate issues holistically—from scientific perspectives to real-world experiences and civic responsibility.
