Aiming to become a multi-disciplinary and sustainable university by 2030, UEH is committed to promoting sustainable development and building a green – smart – and humane university. Beyond being a center for education and research, UEH also functions as an open cultural and artistic hub for the community. UEH’s  policy of public access to cultural and artistic facilities is integrated into the UEH Development Strategy 2021–2030 and the UEH Green Campus Initiative, which aim to develop open, green, and creative spaces for the community. In 2024, UEH implemented a series of programs in arts, heritage, and technology, all freely accessible to the public, to foster the dissemination of sustainable cultural, aesthetic, and creative values within the community.

UEH’s exhibition spaces, including halls and courtyards across its campuses—particularly Campuses A, B, and N—are open free of charge for community visits and engagement. These venues regularly welcome the public, artists, and students, both domestic and international, through diverse programs such as contemporary art exhibitions, fine arts displays, fashion showcases, urban design presentations, and digital art exhibitions. All programs are publicly announced on the UEH Portal and official social media platforms, reinforcing UEH’s role as an open university for arts and heritage that promotes equal and inclusive access to cultural and creative activities.

In 2024, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) continued to assert its pioneering role in expanding its cultural, creative, and open education space for the community. Specifically, UEH organized the ArtTech Fusion 2024 (ATF24) event series, featuring over 30 activities including 9 exhibitions, 5 workshops, and numerous academic discussion sessions, successfully engaging over 4,500 participants from both domestic and international audiences. The exhibitions were open to the public free of charge, integrating art with cutting-edge technology such as 3D mapping, Hologram Art, VR/AR, and NFT Artworks to provide unique interactive experiences. Additionally, UEH collaborated with external cultural institutions, including the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum, the Ao Dai Museum, and Hanoi Grapevine, to host various open-access cultural and artistic exhibitions, such as “Art Painting Replicas of Vietnamese Female Artists,” “The Grapevine Selection,” and “Ao Dai Heritage with the Young Generation”.

Activities were strategically held across multiple campuses, including UEH B, ISCM, Vĩnh Long, and Petro Hotel Vũng Tàu, effectively extending community access, particularly to the Southwest region. Numerous events, such as the Acrylic Workshop, Tết Art Next Gen, and Neo Nirvana Exhibition, were held free of charge, fostering a vital environment for creative exchange among students, artists, and the general public. Furthermore, UEH proactively developed a Digital Traditional Room (E-History) and digitized exhibition spaces to significantly enhance online accessibility. All programs were explicitly designed to disseminate the values of culture, art, and sustainability, encouraging community participation and creativity. Consequently, 2024 witnessed a significant increase in the scale, format, and quality of exhibitions, clearly demonstrating UEH’s defined orientation towards becoming an open cultural and creative hub that links knowledge with community engagement and sustainable development. Critically, all activities were free of charge and did not restrict participant eligibility, thereby ensuring the community’s right to equal access to cultural and artistic values.
