Exam result announcement regarding “Recruiting architectural plans for Training and Research Institutions, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province

After 45-year establishment and development, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) is implementing activities to form a training, research and orientation base into a UEH Branch in Ho Chi Minh City at Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province with the mission of high-quality training and research, contributing to the human resource supply for the sustainable development of the South Central – Central Highlands region. In order to discover the most optimal architectural design plan and to organize a modern, dynamic, creative, green and sustainable space, from November 2021, UEH, in collaboration with the Khanh Hoa Provincial Architects Association, organized a Competition for the selection of architectural plans for the Training and Research Facility of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics in Nha Trang City and officially announced the contest results on January 12, 2022.

Since its launch in November 2021, the competition for the selection of architectural plans for a training and research facility at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City in Nha Trang City has attracted the attention of 25 participating consulting firms and consortiums, of which 16 units were submitted products to the contest.

From January 7-8, 2022 in Nha Trang City, the Examination Council consisting of experienced architects in Khanh Hoa Province, leading scientists, educators and UEH leaders organized the examination of 16 design options from 16 units.

After analyzing and considering the criteria, the Council finally selected the winning products with 01 First Prize, 02 Third prizes (no Second Prize), specifically as follows:

01 First Prize is awarded to the plan coded GN01 of WINHOUSE Construction and Design Consulting Joint Stock Company (address at 4th floor – 51 Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Street, Hoa Cuong Nam Ward, Hai Chau District, Da Nang City).

02 Third Prizes were awarded to 02 options: The project coded KV89 of KKV Construction Architecture Co., Ltd – KKV Architects (address at 37 No. 1 Street, Ward 4, Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City); The plan coded VU78 of VHA Architecture Co., Ltd (address at 4th floor, N10 Building, 03 Tran Khanh Du Street, Phan Chu Trinh Ward, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi).

Supported and facilitated by Khanh Hoa Province, UEH Nha Trang will be located on a 2.1-hectare campus in the North Hon Ong School, Training and Vocational School, located next to Le Quy Don Highschool for the Gifted, Provincial School of Politics and so on.

In order to meet the mission as well as the expectations of the leaders and people of Khanh Hoa Province, UEH Nha Trang sets the standard from the very beginning with the optimal architectural design plan, the current space organization as modern, dynamic, creative, green and sustainable. This place not only trains high-quality human resources for the Central region and the Central Highlands but also attracts the attention of scientists, domestic and international experts when coming to work, attend and work in Nha Trang City.

The establishment and the operation of a training and research institution, oriented to become UEH-Branch in Nha Trang City is an appropriate and necessary step for socio-economic development in Khanh Hoa Province and the South Central Coast – Central Highlands Provinces. UEH Nha Trang will become a prestigious center of training, scientific and applied research, consulting in the country and in the region, accompanying the authorities and people of Khanh Hoa Province as well as Central Coastal Provinces and Central Highlands in the mission of economic and social development of the region.
