Opening Ceremony of Graduate Programs – Phase 1, 2024

On the morning of May 26, 2024, at Campus A – 59C Nguyen Dinh Chieu, District 3, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) solemnly organized the Opening Ceremony of Master’s and Doctoral Programs – Phase 1, 2024.

Overview of the Opening Ceremony

Attending the Opening Ceremony, on behalf of UEH, there was the presence of Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong – Chairman of the University Council, Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh – University Director, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Bui Quang Hung – Deputy Director of the University, Dr. Dinh Cong Khai – Deputy Director of the University, accompanied by the Board of Directors of UEH Member Colleges, lecturers, representatives, and leaders of Departments, Divisions, Units under the University, Schools/Training Institutes and admitted Graduate learners.

The Opening Ceremony of Graduate Programs was carried out according to the Admission Notice for the first phase of 2024 with the admission method based on candidate profiles, foreign language proficiency and GMAT competency test scores. In this phase, UEH offers 16 majors at the Master’s level and 09 majors at the Doctoral level.

Prof.Dr. Su Dinh Thanh

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof.Dr. Su Dinh Thanh stated: “In recent times, UEH has invested in innovating programs and teaching methods, building a data system to serve teaching and learning according to international standards, promoting and improving the quality of research activities, increasing international publications, expanding international cooperation activities and training with international programs in English at Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral levels, etc. UEH graduate programs with the goal of providing highly qualified human resources with strong theory backgrounds and abilities to apply them in practice, having the ability to independently research, invent, develop, and solve new problems in their industry or major, and having the ability to teach at universities and colleges, supervising research and professional activities. Therefore, graduate students have the right to feel secure and proud to study at a prestigious higher education institution recognized by society and positioned as a high-quality university in the business and management community in Vietnam, gradually leaving their mark on regional and world markets.”.

By focusing on graduate education, with the motto of encouraging lifelong learning and improving the quality of qualifications to keep up with the requirements of current and future jobs, UEH has affirmed its brand as a pioneer and typical university in contributing high-quality human resources to the whole country. Over more than 48 years, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) has provided more than 15,000 Masters to agencies and organizations from central to local authorities and businesses, contributing to the development of the country.
